Chinese portal 'Lianorg' again picks the museum of human evolution as a 'top choice’ tourist attraction

This world-reference Asian portal honours and recommends the best tourist destinations in Europe and awards recognition after the assessment by a professional jury.

MEH

The Museum of Human Evolution (MEH), of the Junta of Castile and León, has been honoured as a 'Top Choice Tourist Attraction 2016' by Chinese tourism portal 'Lianorg', a leader in the industry that develops an annual ranking of the best tourist attractions in Europe. This seal distinguishes and recommends the best hotels, restaurants and tourist attractions. It is granted after the reviews by a professional jury from the Asian tourism industry and by visitors from this continent in 2015. The MEH achieved this recognition for the second year running and obtains the Asian tourist portal’s commitment to recommend the Museum as a tourist attraction and to devote a space to it at WWW.LIANORG.COM so that tourists can find practical information about the museum and its location.

For the MEH it is an opportunity to reach more international visitors and to be known outside, in this case in the Asian and Oceania markets, particularly in China, Japan and Australia, according to the commitment to internationalisation of the Museum and the Atapuerca project. The Museum of Human Evolution will have greater visibility in these markets, as the information regarding the Museum will reach potential visitors from Asia and Oceania through the promotion platforms on this tourism portal: Website, social networks, tourist guides, videos and publications.

It must be noted that the MEH received a Chinese delegation of tour operators in 2014 that included directors of the most important agencies in China. These operators bring about 90 million passengers to our continent, representatives of the tourism specialist press, the manager of China’s tourist office for international cooperation, the Consul of Culture of the Chinese embassy in Madrid, the General Director of the Chinese Culture Centre in Madrid and the Director of the office of Chinese Tourism in Madrid, among others.

Other acknowledgements

In 2015, the Museum of Human Evolution (MEH) and the Sierra Site have received the '2015 Certificate of Excellence: Winner’. This certificate is only for those institutions or businesses that consistently receive excellent reviews published on this portal, the world's largest travel website.

In addition, the Museum of Human Evolution received the 'Family Tourism Seal’ in 2014 for its educational content and its adequacy to families, granted by the Federation of Large Families of Spain. This acknowledgement was created for the tourism industry for products and destinations specialising in this type of family tourism.
